my dog has a wart like lump on his left hind leg HELP!!?

its black and sticks out slightly the tip its grey/white it doesnt seem to bother him but it has got bigger over the space of about 7 months, cna anyone tell me what this could be?
he is a staffie

    my friends dog has these she is an old basset hound they can be but mostly are not harmful take the dog to the vet and ask him/her what to do sometimes they "explode" don’t be too worried but i would suggest taking the dog to get looked at
