I have genital warts, I have one wart that is in a place that wouldn’t make contact with a vagina.?
If I covered that wart with a band aid would it still be contagious, or should i just wait til its gone? My girlfriend is still HPV free, and I’d like to keep her that way.

HPV is also transmitted through your semen so keep it off and out of her. I don’t know if direct contact with a wart will transmit it though…look that up.

I guess it is up to your girlfriend to decide that… but I wouldn’t chance it.

Covering it with a band aid won’t do anything to prevent your girlfriend from geting HPV. HPV is a virus and it is in your semen not just localized in one place. Use condoms but remember not 100% nothing is unless you abstain from sexual intercourse or it can be spread by oral sex if you have an open sore or cut in your mouth. YOu need to see a dr and make sure you eradicate any lesions you may have and take any med that your dr may prescribe and in the meantime practice sex in other ways that will not endanger your girlfriend. Good luck. Ask your dr for any advice on this subject I’m sure he or she will be willing to help,.
