I was DX’d with HPV shortly after I got with my boyfriend 7.5 years ago during a routine papsmear. Currently I havent had a pap in 2 years but they always just say I have "abnormal cells" (my mom and sisters all have abnormal cells too, so its no surprise) And I havent heard anything about the HPV in years
Anyway, about 7 months ago I noticed a little wart "down there" and since then its grown significantly to about 1/3 of an inch diameter
I never had any warts before then.. and I thought if I was going to get warts that I would have them YEARS ago..?? Why all of the sudden after 7.5 years am I getting warts? I thought your body gets rid of HPV after a few years?? Thats what Ive heard anyway…
Is it normal to get warts suddenly after having HPV for 7+ years?
And also, is it possible that me and my partner are passing the virus back and forth to eachother?? Is that why it hasnt gone away?

In a nutshell, my friend is MORON.
He told me last night that for a while (about a year) he has had a "wart like" thing on the base of his shaft. He says that it looks like a wart that someone would have on their hand.
So being the "smart" guy that he is, goes and buys Dr. Scholl’s Freeze Away Wart Remover.
He uses it, ON HIS PENIS! Only to read the directions fully after the fact and notice that it clearly states: DO NOT USE ON GENITALS
F-in moron.
Now he has a black spot on his penis. I told him that either way, he needs to go see a doctor because the skin that makes up your genitals, is not the same skin that covers the rest of your body.
So, what do you think? Could he really just have a "normal" wart on his penis?

We’ve have not had sex yet, but she just recently told me about it because we’re heading in that direction. I know that you become less contagious over time if you haven’t had an outbreak, but I’m wondering if it’s worth the risk? And I’ve read many other Q&A’s on here about HPV, but none of them mention over time how contagious you are. Thanks!

Okay, I have a plantars wart and I got these bandaids with medicated patches for it. It says for common warts. Will it work for plantar’s too? Also, The patches are supposed to stick to the bandaid, one side is sticky the other is not. The band aid is sticky too, so do I put the sticky side on the wart or the non sticky side on the wart ?

okay so a couple of weeks ago on the very very end of my butt cheek almost to my vagina i found a red dot that almost looked like a pimple so I blew it off but now yesterday when i took a shower this "pimple" looks almost exactly like a wart its beat red and has like a shiny peice of skin over it and its also tender and it hurts to wipe when I go to the bathroom! should I put wart remover on it? should I just leave it alone? I DONT WANT TO GO TO THE DOCOTOR. please help me!

I had common warts on my fingers for a couple of years and i finally managed to get rid of them. I know that they are a virus and that they stay in your system, but i really don’t want them to grow back. How can i prevent them from growing back?
