can you use aspirin to get rid of warts?

someone told me that if you put an aspirin on a wart, wet it, and put a band aid on it for a few days it will start to go away. does anyone know if this is true?

yes it is so. Salicylic acid (aspirin) is the main ingredient in many OTC wart removers. But know this. It works by burning the wart. If you put on too much it will spread to the surrounding healthy tissue and probably burn down through the wart and burn the skin below the wart root. I used a commercial wart remover many years ago (Wart-Gone). The burning pain of the skin was so excruciating that I had to make a 3 AM trip to the ER to stop the pain. Try a mix of 2 essential oils, tea tree and lemon (peel). Put 6 drops of each into one ounce of therapeutic grade carrier/massage oil.Shake gently. Apply 2 drops of the blend on the wart twice a day and cover with a bandage. Will take a few weeks but it will work, and with NO pain or side effects.
